The centre reads Kalender Stein. Calendar Stone. Foiled glass made to look like opals.

I don't think the envelope(?) originally held those placques. It says blau-Opal, which means blue opal and silber which is silver.
Kalender-Stein, calendar stone, refers to a birthstone. If you want your birthstone, you want the real deal. Besides, the metal is goldtone, not silver.

They give a blue opal effect some of the time:

Kalender-Stein may just be the name of the line. OP says they have them in various colors; blau-opal the name given to this one. I don't think they are in any way meant to look like the real thing.

Possible they are vermeil & silver underneath. It is not out of place to use silver for dichroic glass.
