I am trying to figure out what this is a statue of (it's name) is anyone here familiar with this piece?

OK...we have a 'statue' of a hand, holding what looks like a quarter, and its next to a broken Venetian blind...

Am I missing something?

 

You are partially correct. This is currently in my garage in the corner (so that is wood in the background). In person the hand is holding what looks like a marble or glass ball.

 

Is it bronze ? It looks interesting , is that wood its attached to ?

 

Yes, it is bronze and there is a wood stand beneath it. I am going to try to take it to some local shops to see if I can pinpoint what it is.

 

Now that is coolio. Maybe it was bolted into a wall in order to hang stuff on? Or... it does look like a number of bronze hand "studies" which are then put on a wood base, or even marble.

 

Do you have any more information on this piece? How do you know the year?

 

What did you type in to find these photos? they look just like the statue I have...

 

I believe I did a Google image searches for these variations on the theme...

How big is this piece (human size?) and does it have any signature anywhere?
