Found this beautiful piece thrifting today ($5!) - I love the colors; they are so opposite! (when I first saw it I saw photo 2 side first & for a moment I thought it was a butterfly - or bug - taxidermy!)
I was able to find out the signature says it's a Mdina art glass, but I didn't see another one exactly like it. I found some called fish vase & lollipop? vase and the ones using those names all had similar designs inside the glass. But this one seems unusual - or I haven't found it's name yet, and there may be a ton like it.
Do these have different names for different designs? Does anyone know if this one has a design or style name - and what it is?
Or can I just call it Mdina art glass vase when listing on eBay?
As always I appreciate any help.

Try winged. It's probably 1980s onwards. How big is it?

I'm sure Bear will hop in but I'd call this a Lollipop before a Fish. (Those names refer to the shape, not the decor.)

Edit: See, I told you Bear would hop in.

Would it be correct to call this "cased"? Pretty vase, Journey. How tall is it?

You could include Malta or Maltese, you never know if it helps.

Yup, it's cased. I'm trying to recall the decor name, it's a cross between tortoiseshell and something else.

I posted this earlier but it seems to have disappeared. The pattern is called Marble. I think that this is a small Fish vase but an equal number of people consider this to be a Lollipop, so I don't know. One of Lesley Pina's early books, either Fifties Glass or Circa Fifties Glass has reprinted an early Mdina Catalog so you nay be able to identify the shape from that. Mdina Glass is still in existence and they have a website.
