That's a tough one. Meant to look old tymey but... If I had to guess I'd say 1930s when the color and material of the underdress -- pale pink satin -- were popular. Certainly theatrical but may well be decorative.

Based on the almost pristine condition of the back of the canvas and the stretcher, it does not appear to have much age at all.

Oh my, that is something! Can mine be an original though? I think it’s a painting aren’t those others prints or something? You guys are all very helpful.

The first is a copy of the Hungarian artist Mihaly Munkacsy's 1882 work, "Father's Birthday".

Your other photos of the fronts did not load properly, but from the back views I would assume they are also modern decorative copies of well known paintings. You might try doing a google image search for each one to find the originals.

Whoever had painted mine was definetly masterful in their own right,......

    Masters.....don't copy others works...
    talented journymen, do.

But seeing as how you like them so much, I would say you should keep buying this type of art and enjoy living with them..

Yes I do enjoy them and had no idea they were decorative. I thought they were original lol. I’ve honestly just started buying art and have learned so much from you guys here. Very much appreciated.

I’ve seen original paintings by artist that don’t even compare to this even though it was copied it still had to be hand painted I pressume?
