Don't think it's an antique but is it modern junk ? Cute bird.

OK..try not to laugh too hard at me, but I have a question about this bird.
Is it a newer Pier One Imports item, older or maybe a tourist item ?
He's 4+1/4" in length, solid wood with metal wings, tail, feet and nose.
    I'm clueless.
    Thanks in advance !

Without humor it would be pretty dull world, I can find humor in everything, even in very serious situations, it's coping mechanism.

    Me too and always! :woot::woot::woot::D
I have warned here that if a 'brass ring' is offered me I will take it for I may never get that chance again. It's all in fun though. :)
If I didn't like someone I wouldn't do that. :wideyed:
Wonder how many of us even know what I mean by a 'brass ring'. ;)

I always thought of a "brass ring" as a free ride.

King, not sure if you mean literally the merry-go-round brass rings, or a figurative meaning?

    YES!!! That's it!!!! YAY!!! :)
I say that here and there and literally no one knows what I mean. :(
I used to 'grab the brass ring' on the boardwalk carousel at Coney Island. :)
That gets you a free ride. :)

Ah, Coney Island. The weather we're having at the moment brings to mind the Brooklyn beaches of my youth and fond memories. :)

    2 things... +1
    1) My Grandfather was Teamster and delivered many of the parts for the Parachute Jump. I now have one of the bolts from it. :)
    2) Do you recall them taking the penguins out for a walk amongst the crowds everyday, or a certain day...maybe Tuesday, at the aquarium?
    ~
+1 - I asked my Dad some time ago now why he would take me to the Bronx Zoo on Tuesdays. (He took off work to do this.) :)
    1) No one there.
    2) Every day was free! Except Tuesday........when it cost 10cents each!!! :)

My understanding is that these were all removed, at one time, because they were 'dangerous'. More like kids that should've been kept in armor. :p
