Doubts about a Laurence P. Sisson painting please help

Hello,
I just joined and I have a question about the artist who created this painting that I recently bought. It says L. Sisson, so I assumed it was by American artist Laurence Philip Sisson, but all the websites I have searched (many), indicate that he mainly painted landscapes of Maine and the Southwest. This looks more like an Asian beach scene. It is an original, and it does not have a date. Any help, ideas, suggestions would be much appreciated, thanks,

Not his style at all. I would guess this is a souvenir piece from some resort.

 

That does have some similarity to his signature but it doesn't appear to be his work. You can always contact his web site; perhaps they will confirmation.
