Dragons breath or Saphiret glass?

    I would appreciate any of your opinions on what material this silver ring is holding...I was told it was Saphiret (saphire colored glass melted with gold) when I bought it. Recently I was told it's actually 'Dragons Breath glass' I was under the impression dragons breath glass was more of an imitation opal. The stone doesn't resemble opal at all to me...

    The surface of the stone has been abraded and can't tell what it is.

    WAG, dragon's breath because I don't think saphiret has a blue veil like I see in your 3rd photo.
