dressing table schould I be proud I get it as a gift ?

I get a lot of staff from grant parents and I am interested how old are those furniture and how much are they worth ?

 

Now that's gorgeous ! I think its more just an occasional cabinet as opposed to a dressing table. Id guess maybe 1900,french style. But Im no expert.

 

Not really period but it looks to be a nice piece, especially with that big pier mirror. I am not sure if there was anything exactly like this that it is modelled after, but it certainly looks as if it belongs in Versailles.

If there ever was such a thing, it would have been placed between two tall windows in a dining or withdrawing room.

However, the brass looks replaced. Can you see any holes from original hardware on the inside of the drawers?

 

They are worth a lot to keep the memories of your family alive and pass along down the line to your children.
