Dumb question - what's the proper name for these beads?

They had a trade name, but I can't remember for the life of me what it was. They're along the lines of Forbidden Fruit, but that's not right. These are lucite with rhinestones, but there were also glass ones. They were sold as single beads on sterling chains and cost a bundle.

I have earrings too. Or HAD in one case; one of the beads bounced and was never seen again. (sigh)

It went off into the wide world. My beads love to go exploring.

Actually it's hiding in my Ebay death pile, possibly never to be seen again.

    I think that's a retronym, but it's worth knowing.

I’ve a wee pen somewhere with one of those beads as it’s top.

I just got a few of the catseye ones on a bracelet fragment. Pretty things.
