Am I right in thinking the maker is N.S. Visser & Co
    1852-1868?

I am confused if that is right because I can’t understand the date.

    Thank you for looking! :)

I would consider the the lower case b for 1861 (upside down versus the lion) as an option.

Oh, I thought the letter was a q. That’s why it didn't make sense. Thank you, Bakers!

    It is a beauty, inh.
Correct. There could be an assay office code in Minerva's helmet to tell if it is from Rotterdam or from 's Hertogenbosch (Brabant :)).
    I agree.

They didn’t give the size, and since I’m too impatient, again, I don’t know. It was listed as a jelly server. I will have to wait to know the size. :D

Just realized, as an aside. It can not be used by a left handed person, like myself.

Depends on how far left on the left-handed spectrum you are. For some it would be near impossible, for others it would be no problem at all.
Best thing is to let someone else serve it to you.:)

I couldn’t do it, sliding something in that manner would be quite wobbly for me.
I will likely not have used it, in any case. :)

Beautiful objects are allowed to be useless. They serve another function. Eye candy doesn't need to be served, only to be admired.

Figtree3 What would you do if you weren't afraid?

It is beautiful! I hope you'll share another picture after you receive it, @i need help .

Anyway, l love it! It’s prettier in person! :)
    The green is just reflections.
