Asked about this on the other hoard and didn’t get an answer. I have found other examples online, but no one has the ID. Any body know? The bowl stands about 4” tall on a square foot with pillow stem. It measures about 11 ¼” across at the top rim. The square foot is about 4” to a side. The glass glows a very faint green in UV light. <p>

looks like an Imperial Glass 'Tradition' pattern go-with or lookalike

another that comes to mind is McKee/Thatcher 'Plymouth Thumbprint'

    Replacements calls it McKee.

And yet I remain unconvinced. The thumbprints on McKee are smaller and more widely spaced, and that inner circle of thumbprints is missing on the cake stand. I don't know about the foot. Did McKee use a little pillow stem like that elsewhere?

Am I being too particular? This is good quality glass.

hard to say from photos and I'm not personally familiar with the pattern. I mention McKee/Thatcher because of an ad for the pattern where maker is McKee as a division of Thatcher Glass. There is a large bowl on eBay but the pics aren't that great and it is cupped whereas yours is flared; but foot looks the same.

Contacted that seller to ask how they know. In their description, they say this was only made for a year in the late '50s.

Does the ad you mention show this same bowl, or that other seller's cupped version - or is it a more general ad for the pattern? Some of the Plymouth Thumbprint pieces do have a square foot, but there's a step on that foot that's missing here.

the ad is at ChatAboutDG as 1957 and only shows a few of the smaller milk glass pieces. Very limited info on Plymouth that I can find and nothing definitive. What kind of reaction does your bowl get under black light?

was just curious; the faint glow is consistent with the cake stand. At least that is what I've been told...

I heard back from that eBay seller. They said they used Replacements for the ID.

I guess that's what I'll go with, but I'm not a real happy camper.
