Yeah is, but 10 grand cool? I'd rather have the box i lost at about the same time that sold for 8k, Ruth's box Ruth box.jpg

10K or more is a lot to spend and still not have what you really want.
    Just my thoughts.

Agrees, i am guessing this consignor is just testing the market, i predict this lot will be passed, won't sell. It's a nice box, just not a 10k box, more like 5k. Course, one never knows, auctions are a crap shoot, no doubt.

    I have a $2 box I could keep 10k in.

Yep, it's a bunch no doubt but, anytime you are talking early american and good, better, best or outstanding example, get out your pocketbook! It can get pricey in a hurry.

Yes, agrees but i think 10k is wishful thinking, we'll know soon as auction is tomorrow. I predict it will be passed.
Ruth's box is a box I'LL NEVER GET OVER!

I mean Ruth's box is beautiful - better than the one selling. I see why you wanted it. :)

AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA, i was wrong! The painted box that started this thread sold yesterday for $9500.
It didn't make the min bid of 10k but still, that's a bunch of money for a small wood box.
