I have this book entitled "MIANDY" in fair condition that obviously would not be acceptable today but it was written by Dorothy Dix (pen name for Elizabeth Meriwether Gilmer). She also had a column in the Times Picayune "Dear Dorothy Dix" in the 1940s. She was instrumental in many ways in New Orleans, LA... Because of the nature of the book.... is there a collector that someone knows of...It is signed. I can't upload a picture because each tme..it says the pic is too large...

I think you mean 'Mirandy.' Published in 1914 by Hearst's International Library. There are a number of places where you can check book values. I often use abebooks.com. There are a number of first editions on offer there. But do keep in mind that what you will see is asking prices. I would think there would be little collector interest but a copy signed by the author might garner more interest.

If using a cell phone, you could try emailing your pictures to yourself as "medium" sized.....that should make them small enough to be able to load them here.... otherwise there are other options....

For Future reference, when posting images:

Each image MUST be UNDER 1 MB....
there are instructions on site here on how to reduce the size of your image, if that is the problem......you are allowed up to 8 images per post!!! Here are some links to the instructions:

Try emailing them to yourself as "medium" size, they should then be under 1 MB!

used section at addall lists abebooks and other sites as well so I find it the largest. abebooks only lists dealers that pay them a subscription.
