Bought this jug recently and wondered if it vwas used for the British exhibition of 1861 I think.Theres a bit of damage or not depending on if it was like this when or after it was fired its all complete no damage to the handle but odd cracks .What I wanted to know would it effect value for maybe an early rare piece ? I seem to have a knack of picking something nice up then trying to figure out something unique about it like the damage on this pot that isnt exactly damage as there is no pieces missing and has no sign of being dropped of bashed .Its an ealy jug dont know yet but could be the transfer has something to do with an exhibition maybe to showcas their work.Thank you for looking and replies its always greatly appreciated.

The cracks around the shoulder look like firing cracks - happened in the kiln. The damage to the spout could be from heat shock, just pouring hot liquid over cold ceramic.
