Featured Edward VIII cup?

    I’m pretty sure it’s him although there’s nothing royal looking about the piece, looks more military to me. I can’t make out the impressed backstamp though. Initially I thought Sylvac from the look and feel but their marks are not like that. I’ve tried the chilli powder but it’s not showing up any better. Any thoughts please? I’m also wondering if it was made after his abdication due to lack of royal insignia, and yellow inside? Does that mean anything? He was ostracised here of course. Had a look online for another one but no luck.

    If you look at the 3rd photo, the handle is an E.

    I think if it was a royal (commemorative) piece, it would've been marked. The neck and shoulder do show some sort of generic military design -- epaulettes, medal, etc. I see the "E" too, but don't know what that would represent.
