Enameled Hat Badge is it USSB / USSBB or ?

    I have a hat with an obsolete enameled shield badge, only found one other bullion one online that looks like this and it's identified as rare and from the U.S. SHIPPING BOARD (USSB) or U.S. SHIPPING BOARD BUREAU (USSBB). In the wide range of military hats and badges where might this one land in value and scarcity or is it just a common piece that I haven't been able to identify. Any information anyone can provide would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

    The one shown appears to be solid enamelled metal.

    The one in the link is described as rare is wool felt embroidered in silk/bullion thread.

    Agreed. I didn’t mean the material it was made of but the image itself.Just wanted to know if it was the same bullion he mentioned finding. Because this atleast gives us a date and no date was mentioned in the original post.
