These exceptional examples from my collection were produced in England pre-1905 by Thomas Webb. Each vase was mouth-blown & tooled by hand, and uses Opal-Uranium Vaseline glass to perfection. This glass colour-type is 'heat-sensitive' in that the creamy-white colour was produced by carefully using bursts of very high heat to distribute the colour where required.

The pair of 'Jack In The Pulpit' vases epitomise the onset of Art Nouveau. The top-shape of these vase-types allowed for displaying upon a mantle shelf with their backs up against a wall.
