    I dislike colouring and much prefer originals. Lest we forget.

    This may be the first time I have ever said this, but I don't mind the color in these prints. It is not all-over, it is not raucous, but delicately enhances the meaning of the photos.

    Of course, original medium always preferable but colorizing is an interesting exercise. Allows us to remove the dust of time and view the scenes through a more contemporary lens. A laughing soldier now appears as someone we might pass on the street as opposed to a ghost from times gone by.

    Thanks for finding these Davey!!! To me, I think these were VERY well done!!!! I'm sure the originals are still there, which would also be wonderful to see, but THESE somehow put a fresh perspective on a very sad time.......
