Charity shop buy, nothing magnetic anywhere on it. 7 and a half inches long, quarter inch wide. It’s seems nicely made, plating worn on the clasp and some areas. I can’t seem to find out anything about Essig Union though. Could it be a German clasp maker? Any suggestions please? Thanks.

Essig and Union are separate marks, and I agree, your bracelet is German.
The Union mark means it is 'Union Gold', a type of gold plating also known as Doublé Gold. Much like rolled gold in the UK.

Essig could be the maker, but I can't find anything.
    Essig means vinegar, btw.;)

Thanks very much AJ, I thought Essig might have been slang for a place and it sounded German ish. I just had a look and saw this along with the vinegar translation.
