Picked up this Etain French Pewter cup? at an estate sale. Stands 3" tall and measures 3 1/4" across the top. Has 8 sides. Is this a cup? I found a site that has all these marks but it doesn't work. And how old is this?

    With the 95% designation, it's 20th century.

What site did you find these marks on "that doesn't work?" What do you mean?

Never heard of that site. And don't plan to go there if your system says it's unsafe. ;)

Just in case - "Etain" means Pewter in French. It's not a brand name.

just in case - 95 % means that it's post-1970s made in the style of real antiques. so a fake.
