Etched bud vase

    Looking for info on this family piece. 10” high. No visible markings. Small bubble in base. Horizontal striations/marks visible along length of vase. Thanks!

    The decoration is engraved, done by a skilled engraver. Etchings are done by stencil, no comparison in quality. But, in this case, it doesn't add any value to an average vase. Sorry but I hate to leave an impression that every piece of glass is valuable. In this century almost 100% of old glass has lost most of its value. Collecting has become out of date. I based a considerable amount of my estate on antique glass and I'm afraid hard times are ahead.

    I agree, the design is cut (engraved), not etched. The reason it is frosted is because it was not polished after being cut.
