Featured Exciting finds today!

Well. I found this leaded glass shade today for $9.00 at the thrift store. It's HUGE with a bottom diameter of 22 inches. It's for a hanging lamp, but doesn't have the hardware, it's just the shade. But I couldn't leave it. Turns out one ready to hang sells for $350.

Then I found a yard sale in the next town over and bough a Marigold Iris and Herringbone cream and sugar (with lid) for $5 in pristine condition.

I also found 8 Ralph Lauren dress shirts in new condition (I really don't think they were ever worn, but no tags) for $2 each! and they are my size! They will sell online for Between $30 to $50 ea. judging from sold comps online.

It was a GOOD day!

Well. Ryan would wear nothing but Ralph Lauren Polo clothes. And he bought me some shirts and I became hooked on them too. But being retired now, I can't afford them now. I felt him smiling about my shirt score today.
Than later I was waiting to pick my sister up from work....and I have a flip down sunglasses holder in the roof of my car which I never use since I don't wear sunglasses. Well I decided to flip it open and there were Ryan's prescription sunglasses in there. He was with me today!

 

You can sell some of the shirts and wear some, or list them all and keep the ones that don't sell in a specific period of time.

 

Luckily, they are all my size! I have picked out one for me. Still thinking on the others. They are long sleeve and I have short arms, so cuffs become an issue, but I'm not opposed to rolling up the sleeves.

Keep that one for yourself, at least. Or keep them all, you'll have good shirts for the rest of your life.

 

That's a fairly wide color range -- blue, red, green. I suggest you keep the ones that suit you best.

Problems I rarely have - I'm a women's Tall, and have to unbutton cuffs to keep from trashing shoulder seams.

 

If you have never seen it, watch Deuce Bigalow. He has a date with a really tall woman and it is hilarious.

 

The weird part is I'm only 5'7".
