I know nothing about fans...only what I've picked up here from some of u folk..
It's in pretty good shape....
I don't know the exact size.....
& I know this was not made yesterday......& others have been hard to find when I search.....so maybe they are .......a little rare..???

It is a souvenir cockade fan from Pompeii. These fans were made for different tourist areas, I even found one for Cuba. They could all have been made in Italy, just like present day souvenirs for tourist venues all over the world are often made in China.

Where did you find 1920s? My guess is slightly earlier, but we'd need to see more detail. Pity you don't have more detailed pics.

 

I found this one, it was listed on ebay for US $89.90, but I don't know if it sold for that.

The general consensus seems to be ca 1900, which is what I thought as well.

Neither did I, I just thought of it when I found the second one I posted, with the Sorrento style inlay. Then I found the swallow, etc.

I know, a lot of swallowing.
