Featured fancy vintage hat

Today I found a fancy vintage hat with false pearls. No tag. Some of the pearls have fallen off. Any idea how old this hat is?

 

I bet that was some chic bride's hat (in place of a veil.)

 

Then it may not be vintage?
Do you think I should replace the missing pearls if I intend to sell it?

 

If you have some and they are just glue gunned on, why not.

 

Everything is "vintage." The question is "vintage when."

Unless you have a ready source for the right size pearls (and the number you need as opposed to a lot more than you need) AND the skills to do a perfect job in attaching them, I'd say, sell as is.

 

Wasn't expensive in its time. (Think Sear's quality.) Depends on fabric and how it sits on head but from what I see, I'd think maybe 1950s. Best to sell as is and not attempt repairs (unless you do so professionally.)

Actually, it could also as late be 1980s. Such a simple construction and sits flat on head with tulle at nape.

I think you may be right. Color says 1950s. Crystal pleats say 1970s. But simple construction and nape decoration certainly say low budget Diana.
