Father and child clay figure

    I can't place him with certainty. He reminds me of unglazed folk art figurines made in Santa Maria Atzompa, Oaxaca, Mexico. But the style is so simple he could be from almost anywhere.

    And I’m feeling more Aegean-ish but no clue. I like it! Could be Mexican I guess but something is off to me for Mexico and I don’t personally read him as student work.

    Thanks @reader. I've been researching Aegean art and see several of the features that my figure has that are similar - conical lower body, upward angle of head, straight, sharp nose, simple fingers, small ears and grey clay. Can't find the beard or hair though. Much appreciate you sending me there. Probably never know for sure but the search is fun.
