I think this is Fenton but the I can't find any examples. Any info would be appreciated. Any idea how to clean out the calcium deposits? THANKS! awave1.jpg awave2.jpg awave3.jpg awavw4.jpg

I don't think Fenton on this.

To attack the calcium deposit I would use a toilet bowl cleaner that specifically targets minerals. Lime Away is another possibility but I tend to save that as a last resort. You should be able to improve how it looks but it may not be completely salvageable.

    Not Fenton.
Can't see the bottom well, is there a polished circle pontil? If so probably English late 1800s early 1900s.
If not, possibly mid century Italian.

    MOP diamond quilted satin glass.
MOP = Mother of Pearl for those of you not familiar.

Oh and after you have soaked in whatever you decide to use.
Get some Bar Keepers friend and make a paste.
Normally, I use it with a scotch brite pad, but if really bad, I use 600 wet and dry sandpaper. I figure, it is already ruined so the wet sand paper won't hurt it. Switch to the scotch brite to finish.

If it were mine, I'd ascribe it to Phoenix Glass, ca 1885.

Maybe we should have a pinned "Cleaning Methods" thread somewhere? I know I'd find it useful.
