I found this silverplated lady at a thrift store for a few dollars. I didn't want to ruin the patina, so I didn't remove any tarnish. She is 7" tall.
The registry mark translates to February 13, 1871---If I deciphered that right!
I cannot find anything like her on the internet.
I am curious about what the missing salt and pepper shakers looked like and also who the manufacturer was.
    Any ideas?

The design was registered in England in 1871.

No, those are the reverse imprint of the shells by her feet.
I have checked her carefully, and there are no marks.
She does have a third registry mark by her right foot, identical to the ones inside her baskets.

Yes, I checked out the registry mark, and saw that date. She's really an old lady!
I can't believe she was amongst the junk in this little thrift store waiting for me to find her.

The basket on her head would have held the salt, the lower basket holding a pepperette and mustard pot, and they would have most likely been fairly simple design glass with silverplate mounts...

Here is one nicely polished, unfortunately also missing the inserts (and believe the suggested oil & vinegar would be too large):

Hmmmmm. I've seen these with glass inserts that looked like woven baskets.
