Figurine Identification

    Found these two ladies and thought... those are strange so I picked them up. Im not so familiar with glassware but maybe somebody will recognize what they are.

    My uneducated guess is toothbrush holder.

    They are marked "Japan" on the bottom.

    She almost looks like Marlene Dietrich... And, is it glass? it looks like porcelain...

    My first - and only - thought was figurines of the Takarazaka Revue, an all-female performance company with members playing all roles.

    I took the picture before I left for work this morning. I dont have a picture from the back but there is a hole that looks like it could be used to fasten both of the pieces to a wall


    Also the figure is about 8in or so in height.

    Stupid work getting the way of my hobbies

    My vote is also for Marlene Dietrich in "The "Blue Angel". Her dressed in a tux was a very famous image at the time.
