If I were 25 years younger or at least a lot healthier I'd have been all over this one. Total digger sale, four floors' worth in a 19th century house. Apparently the basement scared even the estate sale company. The description said to make piles. (LOL)

Wow ! That looks like a house where the same family lived in 150 years and never threw away anything ! I bet theres some real finds in there. Reminds me of when I was volunteering for Meals On Wheels. There was a darling little old lady who had a huge house but only lived in like 3 rooms. Every other room was piled with hers and her mothers things, lots and lots of them. Shes the one I got the Tiffany clock set from when I helped her clean up a collapsed mantle (rain leaked in) . I went and visited her several times. She was a fascinating lady with albums full of pics to show for a life well lived. My faves were during the 20s,she was a flapper for days !

Bet she was a hoot. I also bet she still had the clothes, buried somewhere!

Aquitaine Is What It IS! But NEVER BORED!

BUT, my days I think are long gone I'd be willing to crawl through that mess!!!! From what I clicked through, I didn't see a LOT I personally was too interested in, or would have been..........HOUSE from the outside looked very cool though!!!

I think a lot of former diggers are now antiques themselves. That said this was probably still a packed house sale, and a gent who has to be close to 90 still hits some of the estate sales I go to.

Good Lord-the ancient cellars and attics of New England ! You can see where Hawthorne and Lovecraft got the inspiration for their tales.Nothing like it on the West Coast.

True indeed-the only subterranean realms we explore are in our minds.
