First Nations Basket?

    Hi All, this one has me stumped, is listed on a FB auction, listed as First Nations - is it a First Nations basket? It is 6 1/2" x 12" x 4"H, looks to have age to it, maybe made from cedar strips? . I found many similar on-line made out of seagrass and have a metal frame inside, some examples below the photos.

    any information appreciated

    If it will help, I'd add that this is in no way a First Nations basket, nor a Native American basket, for that matter!
