About 3 1/2" tall. Any idea what for? Also, when was the pattern introduced?
    Thanks

Probably a mint julep. Replacements doesn't have one in this pattern, but they have others which they say are 3 5/8 inch tall and seem to be the same shape.

The hollowware they have in Rose Bouquet doesn't have any dates. Rainwater says they were in business from at least 1936 (possibly earlier) and as of the date of the 5th edition were still in business. The 5th edition I have was revised in 2004, so that information may no longer hold true.

Do any others here find it interesting that the cup pattern is "Rose Bouquet"?

"Rose Bouquet" pattern -- mint julep cup -- Kentucky Derby -- "Run for the Roses."

1925 - New York sports columnist Bill Corum famously dubbed the Kentucky Derby the "Run for the Roses."

It "almost" makes me wonder if this cup (as well as others produced) was originally made for some specific reason connected with the Kentucky Derby.

I'll tell you one thing, Kardinalisimo, I'd be "marketing" that cup within a month or two of the time of the Kentucky Derby.

It's really hard to tell whether the pattern was intended for the Derby. The rest of the pieces I found were typical of "regular" dining - coffee and tea pots and they related items, wine and water goblets, etc.

Bakersgma, do you know why the "Fisher" maker's reference on Replacements also shows a "Cartier" connection (of some sort)????

That's not the same Fisher. You want Fisher Silversmiths.
