    hi folks

    found this old frame in our local charity shop for 3 quid. just the frame and glass with no backing.
    thought it might be ok for my henry painting(which has been frameless for ages)
    cut and painted the mounts

    think it looks pretty good,

    still have no idea how old the actual painting is

    Looks good. Stylistically, I think the frame is drawing on rococo, which is 18th C (not counting revivals), but your choice of materials is good and the frame does not compete with the picture.

    I don't remember seeing the earlier thread.
