Featured Five George IV silver teaspoons

    I found these 5 spoons today in the cutlery drawer in a house clearance.

    Remarkable condition and monogrammed.

    Can someone confirm I have the marks correct.

    London,Sterling,date letter g 1822, duty mark George IV, WB William Bateman.

    Whoever left those behind was definitely NOT up on their silver marks.

    I don't think anyone even looked.
    Not a lot antique wise apart from these.

    I've given three more quotes for clearances in the last two days, its non stop. busy busy busy:cool:

    And the Bateman mark lifts them significantly beyond ordinary Georgian spoons.
