FLOWERS. ANYONE FAMILIAR WITH SIGNATURE,

    Looks as if painted on paper.Maybe even done with coloured pencil, I dont want to take out of frame,so am only guessing, Frame unremarkable, It is dated though 1928, and am pretty sure first name is Elizabeth, thank you all IMG_1862 (800x686).jpg IMG_1864 (800x295).jpg

    Nice find! Looks like watercolor. Should be matted and framed so that glass does not contact the painting.

    Last name looks like Spalding.

    The flowers are poppies.
    California poppies here, our state flower. I know the picture is from Colorado

    We found her... above... but now we know the flowers are poppies!!! Teamwork!

    Sorry, I didn't realize that was your answer. I thought the pictures were a continuation of the OP's question.

    Sometimes I just scan through questions too fast without seeing everything.

    Think the Op's painting look more like Oriental poppies due to the large dark center.
