Flying Chef???

Hi all!

Any idea on this glass cup? Clear glass with what looks like a little flying chef on the green glass part? It's cute but can't find anything similar. Any idea who made it? Where and how old?

Think this was a commercial logo,or so a little voice calling from the back of my mind is saying.

 

(I thought there was a "Flying Chef" TV show back in the '70s, but no... the show I had in mind was called "The Galloping Gourmet".)

 

I called it a flying chef cuz not sure what it is. Does it look familiar? The glasses are cute. Got 4 for .75 cents . Not sure if they are vintage.

The execution seems a little clumsy for a commercial logo... are all four pieces identical?

All identical. I don't think it's a logo. Nothing marked on bottom. I bought at estate sale and owner travelled all over. Other than that I don't know much more.

 

stumped. Maybe someone just stamped them for personal and nothing more.

 

Probably not,but I thought it looked like a Burger Chef logo.

Do you have a picture of old logo? Looked it up but did not find similarity

While definitely not an exact match I think this is the particular guy he reminds me of...
