I bought two art glass parrots today, and while researching them, I came across a listing that called a very similar pair "1984 Hamilton Collection Exotic Birds of the World" with a statement that they were a limited edition of 7200 birds by master artist Maestro Francesco. I found this pair because other birds with clear stands and gold flecks were described as Formia Vetri. The differences between my pair and those in the ad are: Mine are 11 inches in height versus 12 inches The eyes have a white ring and mine do not, and There is a different label - the ad has a Formia label and mine have a Murano label. I was thinking maybe reissue or copy? Here is the pair in the ad for those who do not click links: The links (both are for the same items) 2 GORGEOUS Vtg MURANO Parrot Birds Exotic FORMiA Pair ArT GLaSs LABEL Italy (thevintagemuranoglass.com) 2 GORGEOUS Vtg MURANO Parrot Birds Exotic FORMiA Pair ArT GLaSs LABEL Italy | eBay Here are mine:
Kiko, if you're on Facebook, go join the Murano Glass group. There's a fabulous woman who's created an entire album of labels, both real and not.
