I found this at a local thrift tore today - I looked up 1976 Olympics poster but couldn't find this one.
It's pencil signed I think - is the signature signed in plate or really pencil signed?
Does anyone know who the artist is?
Any thoughts on the poster? I know it's suppose to be a Roman because that's where the Olympics started, right?
    Thanks all!
    PS - It has unusual measurements - 24" x 41" !

The Original first Olympics were in Olympia, Greece, the modern Olympics were held in Athens , Greece 1896.

The 1976 Olympics were held in Montreal Canada.

Journey - is yours numbered as a limited edition? The measurements you gave are an inch smaller than stated on SIS's 2nd link. Possibly the frame is covering it up?

@Kronos - could you help out with the price on Worthpoint please?

The one in the last link has a description that includes "signed, dated and numbered by the artist." The price they want is no doubt set on the basis of limited, numbered edition. None of the other links found seem to be in this same limited edition.

I don't think there's enough space "under the frame" to be hiding this info. It should be closer to the artist's sig, no?

That was part of my point, Komo. There's a description that mentions "numbering" (and another listing that specifies a limited edition of 200 which maybe be a different edition than the one that does not say how many) but I have yet to see a "number" or xx/yyy on any of the listings we've found. Someone suggested that Journey should take it out of the frame to see if any more info was hidden beneath it, but it's one of those thin metal frames, so there isn't a whole lot of space under there anyway.

The Worthpoint poster has something down on the bottom. I don't know what it says but looks like maybe it's dated 1974, maybe a printer's name?

Is that the one that says printed by Kennedy Graphics?

Yes that's probably what it says. Can't really read it though.

It certainly isn't a number of the print out of X# total - too many characters for that.
