I found this in a box of jewelry - it has a very unusual look (not as unusual as the first brutalist style ring I posted earlier!) and 'The Dreamer Sterling' inscribed inside the band.
Does anyone know who made it - or anything about it? (like what is that stone in it called?)
Please tell me it's another Burl Marx type ring!!
    Thank you!

I don't know how Echo of the Dreamer jewelry is marked, but they do use silver & semi-precious stones. As komo said, this is an amethyst crystal cluster with some matrix stone still attached. Might have been cut out of a geode.

You are on a roll! Your Mom had good taste...artistic taste! This is from Echo of the Dreamer Mars and Valentine. Statement jewelry by Margaret Thurman in precious metals and rare gemstones. Organic yet refined wearable art. Roughly goes for 350.00, Amethyst.

When my mom went with my dad to Las Vegas (they would send a private plane when my dad told them he wanted to come; he was a "whale" player) the casino basically gave her carte blanc to their stores while my dad was shooting craps - and she did like jewelry stores! - maybe that's where she got them.

If it is one of Margaret Thurman's rings it must have been made when she was an inexperienced beginner since the quality is poor.

Just saw that you have this listed as New with tags.
You really should clean it and retake the pictures. It would look a heck of a lot better.

I just changed it to used- I didn't realize it was left on new (I don't sell a lot of jewelry!). I have no idea how to clean it & honestly no time - I have a 4 bedroom house we've used for storage the last year for a lot of storage auctions I won & now that I finally got a insurance claim settled & replaced all the cast iron plumbing in it we want to sell all the stuff in it quickly so we can clean & rent the big house
