Found in Dad's tools

    I was going through some of my Dad's things and found this valve or whatever it's called, doesn't have any marks or makers name. Anybody know what it was used for ?

    Kinda looks like an old blade guide for a wood band saw.

    Actually that looks like the blade guide body casting - the actual guide (that you are missing) would fit into the front hole and held in place by tightening that 4 sided head screw/bolt.
