Fragile Asian white glass vase mystery

I saw this bizarre Asian vase at the flea market today (I don't have pictures). It was made of white glass, according to the price tag and was almost so paper thin I was worried I would break it just by touching it. The vase was around 10 inches tall.
It had some kind of small ornaments and bigger geisha patterns on it, on different sides (over the glaze) and at the bottom some chinese or japanese kanji. I didn't pay much attention to it because I thought it was a relatively recent souvenir or something due to the price (under 10$).

What is the material called? Besides glass.

How old do you think it was? Should I go there tomorrow and take pictures, or even buy it?

 

All I can tell you is that when something I have seen at the Flea market is interesting enough that it follows me home in my head......it is generally something I would go back and risk the $10 on. Sadly, it is usually already gone by the time I get back!

Could be old or new.
