Per recent inquiries to the Forum- Here is a brief guide to furniture styles, at least how we break them down in the U.S. The gem is all the links to pieces in the Winterthur Collection, for research and comparison purposes. And if your interests are finely specialized, there is even a Made in Boston sub collection. http://content.winterthur.org:2011/cdm/furnitureguide/collection/bostonfurn?

I'm having trouble getting the link to work now, though it was fine right after you posted. Anyone else able to get it to work now?

Thanks for checking. Apparently it is being blocked at my work, though it works fine from home. And thanks again for the great link. I spent a lot of time last night perusing it, since most of my furniture is made in Boston.
