    Hi everybody,

I have bought me a opaline glass perfume bottle.

I was just wondering how old it would be.
The seller thought it was made by Baccarat,
but he couldn't provide 'evidence' to back it up.

I'm not sure myself either, I just love the bottle.
The gold flowers have a little contrast by black in it.
Suits the white bottle perfectly in my opinion.

    Height: 32 cm/ 12.6 inch.
    Diameter: 14 cm/ 5.5 inch.

I hope somebody can tell me more about it.

I've seen a couple on the next website, kind of in the same 'day & age',
    same style:

I also like to know if these prices are realistic.
    I bought mines for €125,00.

Thank you very much in advance!

    Have you searched Jean-Baptiste Desvignes?

I don't know how you might confirm if yours is from that decorating studio, but that seems to be where the money is. You're talking second quarter 19th C for that stuff. Not sure the shape of yours fits that period.

From its size, I would think yours is more of a decanter than a perfume bottle.

Decanter indeed. What worries me is that it looks more to be transfer decorated than hand gilded work.

Yes I have searched on that, but I only find the bottles from the same company as the link. But the one's in the link look tranferprinted to me as well, or am I wrong?

At least, the gold does.. The blue dots aren't.
