    Plated or solid?

    Plated. French maker's marks for solid silver goods are diamond shaped. Those for plated items are square or rectangular.

    How about round shaped? If that‘s what the first one can be called.

    That's just worn at the corners. There is no "round" under the official French rules.

    Besides - can't you tell it's plated from the blue-green tarnish?
