    I found these pieces yesterday.
It's really hard to find this stuff in nice or any condition at all so I was really happy to find this. IMG_1326.jpg

Do you have any advice/resources on how to identify antique textiles and lace?

It's difficult to date that kind of stuff as it was made over long periods.
The modern stuff is fairly easy especially braid but I wish I was more educated on dating it.
I'm ok with Victorian textiles such as velvet, I can spot that quite easily but I think that is just practice.

All I can say is look at and handle as much of it as you can as texture goes a long way to knowing if something is antique.

Also, when you are taking photos of an item to be identified, put it on a PLAIN background. To your eye, it might look good on the rug, but in a photo it's hard to see details around the rug pattern.

Well I didn't actually put it on to be identified, I already know what it is and I think it shows up just fine.
