Featured Fritz Henle Print

I wasn't going to buy this till my wife showed me the back.

Fritz Henle is pretty famous. There's quite a few books on his photos. What made this worth it, is his handwritten letter taped to the back.

I do wonder if the print is from 1934, or it's a print he made in 1987 before sending it.

Wonderful photo! I don't have any good advice for you to identify the date this one was printed. It could have been any time from 1934-1987.

He did a book on China. Perhaps that image was included.

I'm going to have to ask my library to borrow a copy. I also might find it in one of our local thrift stores. Theoretically, it could be in the one I bought this from. If Mary was a friend, there might be other things there.

I saw that when I first looked him up. It's probably a reprint from around the time he sent it. It's on the wall. I'll just wonder about it.
