Hi could anyone identify this dining set please? I believe it is ercol but the only identifying marks are below each chair, BS 1960 IJ2056. The dining set has been in the family since new but it is time to move on, could anyone also give advice on where to advertise for sale? The set is in need of some tlc.

    Many thanks,

    Sean

Yours set is probably made from elm then rather than oak which is what the newer JL Chinese made ones are made from.
You can give it some tlc yourself with some wood restorer.
Should sell well, they are desirable.

The JL stuff may be made in China, but it won't be true Ercol. I think they designed the range, then JL outsourced it.
