Hi, I’ve acquired this print and wondered if anyone could tell me anything about it?!

It’s ‘parade of the Scots Fusileer Guards at Buckingham palace’

(Before her majesty the queens &his royal highness the prince)

On the morning of their departure for the seat of war March 2nd 1854.

Small print states, day & son lithe to the queen.

Published June 21st 1854 by Paul and Dominic coinaghi & co 13 & 14 pall mall east publishers to her majesty.

It’s ptinted on a type of parchment paper that’s got a type of card between the layers??

The only thing I’ve found similar is on the national army museum website

Any info would be greatly received

    Many thanks

    Good job!
The writing is so light and small to compare with the one in link. Others who know more about lithos maybe around with more information. :)

Happy for your enthusiasm! @moreotherstuff may be along later. Or someone who has more knowledge than I do.

If you want info on the company, there's lots of leads here:

    http://research.frick.org/directoryweb/browserecord.php?-action=browse&-recid=6086

There might be something in there somewhere about what was printed when and how much.

There's a good chance your print is original to 1854, but it's impossible to tell from the photos. It might be mounted on card. I don't think that's how it would have been sold originally (really don't know).

I can't comment on the condition, except to say that poor condition would severely limit the value.

You'll get most of the information you need from the print itself, and from that entry in the National Army Museum.
