GDR East Germany figurines, anyone recognize them?

    Found these cute little kids today. they are 4 3/4" tall.
    Thought the bases were wood but they are painted and ceramic also.

    If that's what it says, then maybe they're just line production pieces. The glazes aren't terribly well executed, imo.

    GDR is English. in German means Deutsche Demokratische Republik =DDR ;)

    there is a GDR mark with addition "Eastern Germany" of Grafentaler but its not the same as yours.

    Absolutely nothing good came out of the DDR/GDR, it had a reputation for shoddy quality and gruesome styling.
