I'm stumped regarding labeling and listing vintage Chinese pieces that fall between certain periods. I know that the People’s Republic of China (ROC)—Zhonghua minguo 中華民國—ended in 1949, and the Cultural Revolution 無產階級文化大革命 (not sure the Chinese word) was from 1966-1976. But does anyone know the vintage market term for the years in between (1950-1965)? Industrialization Period? It feels odd simply calling Chinese pieces dated/stamped from then "mid century" or just "modern."

"Early People's Republic" is what I would call that period.

Thank you from me, too, Mat. I have pieces that are likely from that period!
