LOVELY !!! ... Very nice indeed, Joy.

 

Interesting that the crown and 800 are right out there in the "sky" but the "Germany" is buried in the scene (below the clasped hands of the couple on the right.) The maker's mark may also be hidden somewhere.

I don't like it and don't see any value above silver price.
BUT it could appeal to Germanophiles that are interested in the old tradition of Maibaum (Maypole) where the young maiden and bubs danced around the pole till a bit dizzy, followed by binge drinking till the girls lay flat... and the end was a bit of sports...

It's a LOVELY dish .. Us girls danced around a Maypole in school many years ago .. we called it "Maypole Day, we were very young, about 8yrs old, so this was late 40's early 50's in England ..it's a lovely memory all these years later ... Joy.

 

I like it! It resembles one we have. I wonder if they were intended to be decorative or used for something like bread? Anyway, nice piece and worth more than silver in my opinion.
